I went for my first real ride on my electric skateboard on Friday. A short ride up and down Southbank. I stuck to the 10 km/h limit. I was ok with that as I’m still adjusting to the feel of the board and skateboarding in general.
I was controlling my speed reasonably well and turning well enough to get around people along the path.
I experienced the pain first time riders feel when they first start, as mentioned by some YouTubers. I felt it mostly in my back foot. I think it’s from muscles tensing up through fear of falling off. It did not help that the riverside walkway is not all that smooth. I’m confident it’ll go away after I get more experience riding.
